Ø  A conductor transfers heat away from a hot area or object to a cooler area or object

Ø  Non-metals are poor conductors of heat. They lose or gain heat very slowly

Ø  Poor conductors of heat are called insulators

Ø  Insulators are hair, fabric and air

Ø  Metals are good conductors of heat
